Job Description

(FYI This is NOT a position for a photographer wishing to gain photography experience).

We’re looking for someone with a strong sales background as well as being an organised, friendly, punctual, detail-orientated and responsible person with an interest in Photography/Art to work in a Fine Art Photography gallery in Green Point.

Candidate should have the following skills and be proficient in the following:

· – Sales

· – Customer Liaison

· – Invoicing (Invoice Journal)

· – MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Access

· – Online Database Management

· – Proof Reading

Candidate should possess the following traits:

· – A people person – You will be dealing with the public.

· – A self-starter – You will be working alone in the gallery during your shift, so you will need to be able to think on your feet.

· – Attention to detail – You will be signing up students onto courses as well as making sales of photographic prints, framing, shipping etc. as well as following up on previous queries.

You will be required to work 3 full days a week (10h00-17h30), as well as 1 or 2 three-quarter days on Saturdays (10h00-15h00) per month.

Candidates living closer to Green Point will get preference. Should you not have your own transport please advise if you are near reliable public transport.
