Job Description

A successful applicant will have completed some higher eduction diplomas or undergraduate degree in information technology or a related field. The person should be extremely determined, eager to learn and must have good person skills. This is an exciting opportunity to learn as well as share in a growing industry within the IT field.

The position relates primarily to IT Service Management consulting however the intern will be expected to work from the ground up – previous experience is not a must.
Responsibilities include:
– general office administration including, filing, printing, emailing.
– documenting IT procedures for OSCOSM as well as for their customers
– system and server maintenance
– software development
– operating system and application administration
– IT process design and implementation
– sales

The successful candidate must have skills in:
– IT
– web design
– Java, perl, HTML
– OS’s such as Microsoft, Unix, Linux
– DB’s such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle
– ITIL skills knowledge is a plus

They must furthermore be:
– hard working
– time conscious
– always willing to learn
– humble
– determined
– honest

The role will encompass all aspects of IT Service Management as an intern. You will get exposed to live customers, where you will shadow consultants and have on the job training. Please note this is a full time position but working hours can be flexible as deliverables will be the primary outcome. You will not need to be in the office every day (my home), but will be when required to. If selected you will be subject to a 3 month probation period.

This will be a fun and exciting role, so come prepared to learn lots but be willing to work hard and sometimes long hours!
