Mornings Digital Music Label Assistant – Cape Town

Part time vacancies in Cape Town:We are looking for a part name Digital Music Label Assistant to start 1 March 2015.

Would best suit a student or young vibrant individual seeking part time employment. This junior position is based at a boutique marketing and advertising agency based in Diep River, Cape Town. Join a team of 7 staff working for a home office in the Southern Suburbs.

You will work in office 2 mornings weekly, 9:00am – 1:00pm.

ROLE

You would working directly with the Managing Director of the agency in building the label. A high level of professionalism and drive is required along with a love for sound and a varied taste in fantastic music ranging from folk to funk, rock and hip hop under a banner of quality. A willingness to learn and follow instruction is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Source local artists across genres for signing

Increase exposure of new releases and the label

Work with the Content Specialist in creating press releases

Work with the Content Specialist in creating newsletters

Work with the PR Specialist in sending media press releases

Build a mailing list, collect data and manage databases

Upload all new releases for distribution

Manage the submissions process

Quality check all releases

Assist with basic covers

OBJECTIVES

Grow the the label’s catalogue

Increase revenue by pushing new releases

Become an ambassador

GOALS

Develop relationships with film and commercial studios

Sign a minimum of 6 releases monthly

Get the label registered with SAMRO

REMUNERATION

R 1600.00 Monthly (Approx. R 200.00 Per Morning Worked)

5% Royalties on All Releases
